ILLEGAL DUMPING NEAR SPRING CREEK

In the past ten days, someone dumped a wrecked pickup truck and other refuse on public land on the Boyd-Kennedy Road about four miles east of Sage Elementary School in Spring Creek.
“If you recognize this wrecked truck in the photo or if you know who dumped this truck on public lands in Spring Creek, we’d love to hear from you” said BLM Law Enforcement Ranger Jeff Miller. “In addition to the vehicle, a recliner and other household items were left at the site.”
“Obviously the people responsible for this trashy behavior wanted to avoid having to dispose of the vehicle and trash properly,” Miller added.
Illegal dumping is an adverse incident that continues to occur regularly within Elko County. Prosecution of violators may result in fines up to $100,000 and one year in prison.
If people know who left the truck and trash in Spring Creek or would like to become more involved with cleanup opportunities, please contact BLM Law Enforcement at (775) 753-0207.
