TRAVEL MANAGEMENT PLANNING WORKSHOP SCHEDULED

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Elko Field Office is hosting a public workshop to kick off the Travel Management Planning process for public lands in Northeastern Nevada. The workshop will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 6:30 p.m. at the High Desert Inn, 3015 Idaho Street, Elko, Nevada.

“We invite the public to join us as we begin planning for the future of vehicle travel on public lands in Northeastern Nevada,” said Cline Oke, Assistant Field Manager for Non-Renewable Resources, BLM Elko Field Office. “Travel Management Planning is an open process and we depend on public participation to make it effective. We want to know public concerns and issues. Because of increased public interest, the initial focus for the planning efforts will be on Spruce Mountain south of Wells.”
