The Code of Federal Requlations (CFR) supports grazing endeavors through issuance of 43 CFR 4100.0-2:

"...proposed alternatives should promote healthy sustainable rangeland ecosystems; accelerate restoration and improvement of rangelands to properly functioning conditions; promote the orderly use, improvement and development of BLM lands; establish efficient and effective administration of grazing; and provide for the sustainability of the western livestock industry and communities that are dependent upon productive, healthy public rangelands."
