Gold production in Nevada accounts for 72 percent of the total gold produced in the United States.  Nevada's gold production by itself would make it the fourth largest producer of gold in the world.  

Other naturally occuring minerals found in Northeastern Nevada include:  barium, chromium, copper, molybdenum, niobium,  silver, strontium, tin, tungsten, and zinc.
