Tracy-Silver Lake Transmission Line Project Final Environmental Impact Statement (2004)
The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City Field Office, Nevada, made availavle the Sierra Pacific Power Company Tracy-Silver Lake Transmission Line Project Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS), on July 16, 2004. The FEIS was the result of Sierra Pacific Power Company’s (SPPCo) submission of a right-of-way application for a transmission line from the power plant at Tracy to Silver Lake. The proposed Project included the upgrade and extension of an electrical 120 kV transmission line from the existing power plant at Tracy, Nevada to the existing Silver Lake substation near Stead in Washoe County, Nevada as well as the construction of two substations. The FEIS also analyzed five alternatives to the proposed action that were developed thru the EIS process.
