Alpine County (CA) Resource Management Plan Amendment (2007)
Bureau of Land Management (BLM)-Nevada State Directior Ron Wenker signed the Decision Record for the Alpine County Resource Management Plan Amendment on August 23, 2007. As part of the Proposed Plan Amendment, an environmental assessment was prepared to analyze designation of approximately 19,000 acres of public lands suitable for retention or conveyance for community expansion purposes, trails and travel management on public land, and allotments available for livestock grazing.
The plan amendment fulfills the needs and obligations set forth by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA), and BLM management policies.
