The BLM has implemented a collaborative, community-based planning process for the RMP/EIS and public input is critical to its success. Issues raised through public participation have driven the different management options that are considered in the RMP which will ultimately lead to how BLM public lands are managed. PUBLIC SCOPING AND COMMENT PERIOD ENDED FEBRUARY 11, 2011. We would like to thank those of you who submitted written comments. It was not necessary to attend a scoping session in order to submit a comment. Scoping comments were accepted via email, as well as by mail. Your input is critical to producing an effective RMP. Comments are welcomed, reviewed, and considered throughout the planning process. To submit comments, you may open, fill out and print the mail-in (or fax-in) comment form. E-mail comments can also be sent to BattleMountainRMP@blm.gov . Please include your name and mailing address in your e-mail (see privacy notice). Please direct comments to: Battle Mountain RMP Public comments submitted for this planning review, including names and street addresses of respondents, will be available for public review at the Battle Mountain District Office, 50 Bastian Road, Battle Mountain, NV 89820, during regular business hours (8:00 am to 4:00 pm), Monday through Friday, except holidays. Individual respondents may request confidentiality. If you wish to withhold your name or address from public review or from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act, you must state this prominently in your written comments. Such requests will be honored to the extent allowed by law. All submissions from organizations or businesses, and from individuals identifying themselves as representatives or officials of organizations or businesses, will be made available for public inspection in their entirety.
