Public Land Segregated for Proposed Sale
Battle Mountain, Nev.—The Bureau of Land Management published a notice in the Federal Register on Oct. 15 to segregate two parcels of public land near Austin, Nevada, from all appropriations under the public land laws, except the sale provisions of the Federal Land Policy Management Act, for up to two years. Publication of the notice opens a 45-day comment period that will close on Dec. 1, 2008.
The two parcels total about 878.63 acres and are located southwest of Austin in Lander County. These parcels are identified for disposal in the Shoshone-Eureka Resource Management Plan and will be offered by open competitive bidding procedures. Notice of the sale will be made public.
