This two-hour live broadcast is another in a series of Planning/NEPA Forums presented by the BLM’s National Training Center. These forums cover current and important planning or NEPA-related topics. Previous topics have included: Connected Actions, Purpose and Need, Administrative Record, Cooperating Agencies, and Contracting.
After a short message from Neil Kornze, Principal Deputy Director of BLM, the expert panel will review terminology and legal authority for mitigation, introduce the draft policy for regional mitigation (draft Regional Mitigation Manual, MS-1794), discuss a framework to begin a regional mitigation strategy, discuss how to overcome potential challenges, and present the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone in Nevada. They will also answer questions from viewers.
