BLM Satellite Network Broadcast Announcement NTC-TV

This 2-hour live broadcast is another in a series of Planning/NEPA Forums presented by the BLM’s National Training Center. These forums cover current and important planning or NEPA-related topics. Previous topics have included: Connected Actions; Purpose and Need; Administrative Record; and Cooperating Agencies.
During this broadcast an expert panel will discuss how to modify and close out contracts, the contractor’s role versus the BLM’s role in strengthening the project file or administrative record, and how to respond to legal challenges. In addition, we will answer questions from the viewers and as a special bonus, we will have guests calling in to discuss their best management practices for improving the contracting process.
The panelists are: Molly Cobbs, BLM Planning and Environmental Coordinator from the Anchorage District Office; Cindy Kleinholz, BLM Contracting Officer at the National Operations Center; Chris Carlton, BLM Planning and Environmental Coordinator from the Wyoming State Office; and host, Cathy Humphrey, BLM Training Coordinator for NEPA at the National Training Center.
This telecast is intended primarily for BLM employees who are involved in the contracting of planning and NEPA documents (direct or third-party contracts); specifically those who participate in modifying or closing out contracts, those who use contractors for the administrative record for responding to legal challenges, or those who want to learn more about the process.
