

Promoting Healthy Lands Through Cleanup, Restoration, and Environmental Compliance
The Division of Environmental Compliance supports the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in its compliance with environmental regulations concerning air resources, water quality, and contaminated public lands. The Division also assists with the cleanup and restoration of contaminated lands. Presently, the Division is supporting efforts at the Field, District, State, and Washington Office levels. The Division’s team of highly skilled senior technical experts focuses on achieving the BLM’s healthy lands goals by providing operational support, technical guidance, and training to BLM offices in the following areas:
Evaluation and Cleanup of Hazardous Waste and Abandoned Mine Sites
Natural Resource Damage Assessments and Restoration
Cost Avoidance/Cost Recovery Actions Associated with Cleanups
Air and Water Quality Issues Related to Public Lands
