The Contractor shall check bolts and nuts on the machines periodically to insure tightness, and shall tighten them as necessary for proper maintenance.(#l C.4.6lRepairs to Equipment: Contractor shall be equipped to make necessary field repairs to the furrower. An [arc] [and] [or] [acetylene]-welding outfit shall be included in the Contractor's repair equipment. The Contractor shall maintain and repair the furrower at the worksite. The Government will furnish repair parts necessitated by normal wear or breakage not due to fault or negligence of the Contractor. With exception of those repairs resulting from fault or negligence of Contractor, major repairs not repairable in the field will be made by the Government. No alterations or modifications in furrowers shall be made. Adjustments of the furrowers may be made by the Contractor to maintain proper operation. Parts replaced by the Contractor shall be kept for inspection by the Contracting Officer.(#l (#ԌC.4.7lSafety: A safety pin is provided on the furrower for locking the unit in the raised position. This safety pin shall be positioned while servicing or working around the elevated unit or when the machine is being trailed from one location to another.
