When the connected length indicates possible incipient failure, it shall be broken down to shorter combinations of segments or individual segments and retested until it is determined conclusively that each segment is either good or is in danger of failing.(#4 C.3.4.44Testing: Test voltage shall be applied to each cable segment in six equal steps of [___] KV each to a maximum of [___] KV. At the end of each step, voltage shall be held constant for one minute. After the one minute interval, and prior to starting the next step, the leakage current shall be read and recorded. In the final step, the leakage current shall be read and recorded at [1,] [3,] [6,] [10,] and [15] minutes after the [___] KV level has been reached. After the applied voltage part of the test has been completed, the cable being tested shall be discharged through a discharge circuit built into the testing equipment to prevent sudden discharge.(#4 ,END OF SECTION a. !SECTION E INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE TESTING HIGH VOLTAGE CABLES SPECIFICATION NO. 17105 Rev. 689 17105EFEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATIONS (48 CFR CHAPTER 1) CLAUSES Xl4 ( hp x (#%'Xl4 ( hp x (#%'E.1.0l52.25202 Clauses Incorporated by Reference(#l lThis contract incorporates the following clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
