UL listing and labeling will not be required if it can be shown that control panels meet the requirements of another nationally recognized testing laboratory (NRTL).(# $0*s's'ԌPART 2: PRODUCTS 2.1MATERIALS A.General: Control panels shall be constructed of the manufacturer's standard materials, as listed in published product information; types and sizes shall be as indicated or as required for the installation.(# B.Enclosure: Panel enclosure shall be a NEMA Type [1] [3] [4] [12] as listed in NEMA 250 and shall conform to Section 16138 Cabinets and Enclosures. Panel shall be sized to allow a minimum of 4 inches between any equipment or component and the enclosure sides, top, or bottom. All indicating lights and gauges shall be mounted on the front door. Reset buttons and switches shall be installed on the front door or shall be operable from outside the dead front. Panel shall be suitable for surface mounting and shall include a removable 12 or 14 gauge mounting pan fastened to the enclosure back on collar studs.(# C.Wiring: All internal panel wiring shall conform to Section 16120 Conductors and Cables, and it shall be installed in plastic channel or duct or neatly bundled, tied, and fastened in place. All wire terminations shall be made with pressure type terminal lugs. Use insulated type spade or ring tongue lugs at screw type terminals and insulated type female disconnects on equipment with male tab terminals. No splices are allowed and all connections shall be made at terminal boards or device terminals.(# D.Terminal Blocks: All incoming wiring to the control panel shall terminate on numbered terminals of identified terminal blocks.
