(UL) listed and labeled. UL listing and labeling will not be required if it can be shown that the heaters meet the requirements of another nationally recognized testing laboratory (NRTL).(#  PART 2: PRODUCTS 2.1MATERIALS A.General: Heaters shall be constructed of the manufacturer's standard materials, as listed in published product information; types and sizes shall be as indicated or as required for the installation.(# B.Acoustic Requirements: Quiet operation of the baseboard heating system is required. Noisy thermal expansion and contraction, loud relay clicking, or alternating current hum will be cause for rejection%0*s's' of individual heaters or the entire system. The Contracting Officer will determine if the noise level is objectionable.(# 2.2BASEBOARD HEATERS A.Thermal Requirements: Each heater shall be capable of producing its rated heat output in watts at an impressed voltage of [120/240] [208] [277] volts. Each heater shall include an automatic reset, thermally actuated overheat protection device according to NEMA DC 10. No heater shall exceed a nominal output of 250 watts per foot of heater length.(# B.Disconnect Switch: Each individual heater shall include a two-pole disconnect switch which shall be wired to disconnect all heating elements in that heater only.(# C.Integral Thermostat: When shown on the drawings, the heater shall include an integral line voltage, two-pole, adjustable 60 to 90 degrees F thermostat, according to NEMA DC 13, connected to control that heater only.(# D.Accessories: Where shown on the drawings, blank sections of matching baseboard are to be installed to fill in an open section to a corner or wall. These blank sections are to include a wiring channel.
