| The NSTC maintains an aerial photography archive that contains more than 451,000 frames of photography, which cover land managed by BLM. This large-format (9- x 9-inch) aerial photography is stored in its original roll format and is categorized by state, acquisition date, and BLM project number. | ![]() |

Staff at NSTC’s aerial photograph archive provides assistance to BLM offices and the public in obtaining copies of BLM aerial photography. They assist customers in researching the availability of historical aerial photography coverage and arranging for the reproduction and shipping. Certifications of authenticity can be provided for any product created from original film as required to support litigation activities. |

| Acquisition
NSTC serves as the technical focal point for BLM aerial photography planning by providing support to BLM state and field offices in the acquisition of new aerial photography. This support includes determining requirements, estimating costs, assembling specification bid packages, contract administration, and inspection services. |
