The Northwest New Mexico Visitor Center adjacent to Interstate 40 will also be closed these days. ]]>

The Bureau of Land Management and Pueblo de Cochiti will be closing the monument due to holiday observances and staffing, said BLM Albuquerque District Manager Ed Singleton. Normal winter visitation hours will apply before and after these dates. ]]>

The fee took effect November 2; the previous fee was $4,000 per APD. The money generated by APD fees constitutes a reimbursement to the U.S. Treasury for the estimated cost of processing new APDs. ]]>
