Glade Run Recreation Area Management Plan
The BLM Farmington Field Office has prepared a preliminary Resource Management Plan Amendment/Environmental Assessment (RMPA/EA) for the Glade Run Recreation Area Recreation (GRRA) and Transportation Management Plan (R&TMP).
Over the past several decades, the public has increasingly relied on public lands to provide for motorized and non-motorized recreational opportunities. Advances in vehicle technologies and rapid population growth in the west have often out-paced agency planning and the ability to effectively manage visitor use. Balancing public use and enjoyment of public lands along with protection of important resources requires more active and effective management. The overall goal(s) of this planning effort is to provide the public with a range of recreation opportunities, reduce use conflicts, promote visitor safety, protect public lands resources, and designate appropriate use of the roads and trails within the planning area.
A Dear Reader Letter, preliminary EA, Route Comparison Table, and KML files are available for review under the Documents and Information bar. These documents are available for a 45-day comment period beginning February 20, 2013, and ending April 5, 2013.
You are invited to review the EA and the Route Comparison Table and provide written comments, which will be used to prepare the final GRRA R&TMP. Comments can be sent to:
