Law Enforcement Team completes "Tough Mudder" Obstacle Course

BLM law enforcement officers after muddy obstacle

A team of BLM Law Enforcement Officers from New Mexico and Arizona, law enforcement communication staff, and US Border Patrol Agents recently participated in the 2012 Phoenix “Tough Mudder” event, a challenging 12.5 mile long obstacle course designed to test a teams all around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.

While testing their endurance, team work, and physical skills on the course, they also accomplished another goal – supporting the Wounded Warrior Project.  The Tough Mudder organization contributes a portion of all event fees to the Project, over $2.5 million to date, making all the blood, sweat, and tears of the course worthwhile.

Perhaps Special Agent in Charge, Noel Wagner summed up the experience the best, “It was an absolute privilege to participate with this team, I can’t imagine a better group of BLM men and women to do it with.”  He continued, “ ...it was brutal but we finished in about four hours and no one had to ride in an ambulance, which was a win-win for everyone!”
