Station 7: The Fault LineBrian Wignall, Narrator If you’ve never seen a fault line up close, this is your chance, as Pat Hester, BLM Geologist explains. Pat Hester, Geologist, BLM While there are several faults at Tent Rocks, the fault line at Station #7 provides a rare opportunity to see a fault line up close. The thick, white rock on the right ends against wavy tan layers of the left. The fracture that separates them is a fault line. While the white rock was created by pyroclastic flow, explosions from an ancient volcano a mile away produced the wavy tan layers.
