Station 4: The CaveBrian Wignall, Narrator And now, Danita Burns of the Bureau of Land Management gives us a brief history on this ancient cave. Danita Burns, BLM Public Affairs Tent Rocks has attracted visitors for centuries. Surveys have recorded numerous archaeological sites reflecting human occupation spanning 4,000 years. Our trail passes a small human formed cave that shows signs of use by the Ancient Pueblo people. Humans aren’t the only ones who have found this area hospitable. Coyotes, rabbits and ground squirrels are prevalent throughout the Monument as well.
