2008 Permit Renewal Environmental Assessments
We have completed Environmental Assessments (EA) #NM-220-08-037, #NM-220-08-038, #NM-220-08-039, #NM-220-08-040, #NM-220-08-041, #NM-220-08-042, #NM-220-08-043, #NM-220-08-44 and #NM-220-08-045 concerning the permit/lease renewal for allotments as indicated within each EA. The Proposed Decision is to issue these grazing permit/leases for 10 years with the recommendations made in the Proposed Action located within each of the EAs.
In accordance with 43 CFR 4160.2, you or any other interested member of the public may protest this Proposed Decision under 43 CFR 4160.1 in person or in writing to the Field Manager, Bureau of Land Management, 226 Cruz Alta Road, Taos, New Mexico, 87571 within 15 days of receipt of this decision. The protest, if filed, should clearly and concisely state the reason(s) why the Proposed Decision is in error. In the absence of a protest, the Proposed Decision will become the Final Decision of the authorized officer without further notice.
Any person whose interest is adversely affected by the Final Decision may file an appeal. The appeal must be filed with the Field Manager, Bureau of Land Management, 226 Cruz Alta Road, Taos, New Mexico, 87571 within 30 days of either the date the proposed decision becomes final (assume August 27th, 2008) or from the notification of a final decision (issued after a formal protest). The appeal shall state the reasons, clearly and concisely why you think the final decision is in error and must comply with the provisions of 43 CFR 4.470 et. seq. (Form 1842-1).
