Internet Setup for NILS GeoCommunicator

System requirements:

• For best performances use Internet Explorer version 6 or higher
• Enable TLS 1.0
• Enable Pop-ups
• Enable Scripting

Enable TLS:

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

1. On the Advanced tab, under Security, make sure that the following check boxes are selected:
   • Use SSL 2.0
   • Use SSL 3.0
   • Use TLS 1.0

Click Apply, and then click OK. This setting is necessary to run LR2000 and range allotment
reports from GeoCommunicator..

Enable pop-up's:

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, click the Privacy Tab.

If you have your Pop-up Blocker turned on, click the the Settings Button

Add www.geocommunicator.gov to the "Address of Website to Allow" area and select Add.

Add www.blm.gov to the "Address of Website to Allow" area and select Add.

Select close when done.

Enable Scripting:

Select Security Tab, Local Intranet is selected. Click Custom Level.

From the Security Settings Window:

• "Allow Scripting" select Enable
• "Allow Status Bar updates via Script" select Enable - this option will allow the latitude and longitude
  to be displayed on the status bar at the bottom of the map viewer as you scroll around on the map.
• Click OK
