General Migration Process
1. Filter out brand new partner agency PFAS LD data from existing PLSS and NILS Alternate Source data. 2. Outline a semi-automated workflow for migrating PFAS data using ArcGIS Model Builder. 3. Know the lowest level of data available. 4. Work with the BLM to establish a PLSS hierarchy of data sources to use. 5. Re-project and load the PFAS data sources into the PFAS data model. 6. Add in any missing PFAS attributes (from other sources if necessary, e.g. PLSS_Index/National Atlas was used as a reference for missing Statecodes on source data townships). 7. QA/QC the new data. 8. Obtain list of normal sections from the BLM/LLD tables to subdivide the PFAS data down to minor sub if possible.
Although these data have been processed successfully on a computer system at the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and ESRI Redlands, no warranty, expressed or implied, is made by the BLM or ESRI regarding the utility of the data on any other system, nor shall the act of distribution constitute any such warranty.
