Mission Statement

The mission of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) National Fire Training and Workforce  Development Program is to develop the wildland firefighting workforce through qualification standards, training standards, and workforce development programs in support of BLM fire management objectives.

BLM National Fire Training and Workforce Development Program Structure

The BLM National Fire Training and Workforce Development Program (NIFC, FA-324) functions under the direction of the Chief Preparedness/Suppression Standards within BLM Fire Operations and Safety. FA-324 is made up of a Program Manager, an Assistant Program Manager, and a Writer/Editor who provide overall support for the BLM National Fire Training and Workforce Development Program.
