Publications Management System Ordering

All interested parties may order from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) National Fire Equipment System (NFES) Part 2 Publications Catalog which contains interagency wildland fire community publications, training courses, and related audio visual material. This catalog is available at www.nwcg.gov/pms.htm.

If orders are charged to an incident, Resource Orders are to be placed in accordance to existing mobilization plans. Refer to the National Interagency Mobilization Guide and area mobilization guides for details.

If orders are not charged to an incident, the order should be sent directly to the Great Basin Cache. All Publications Management System (PMS) items are stocked at the Great Basin Cache.

The Great Basin Cache performs inventory annually in January. During this time, resource orders for active incidents are the only orders processed. All others are processed after inventory is completed and they are processed in the order received.
Phone orders are not accepted. Do not send payment with order.
Orders should be faxed (208) 387-5573/5548 or mailed to:

ATTN: Great Basin Cache Supply Office
National Interagency Fire Center
Bureau of Land Management
3833 S. Development Avenue

Once a purchase order/requisition is received, an Issue Form for the requested items is completed. The items are then packaged and shipped, with a copy of the Issue Form. When you receive your order, immediately verify that all items listed on the Issue Form are accounted for in your shipment. On the Issue Form, be sure to look under the Message Block for any information regarding backorders, out of stock items, items not carried, or any other peculiar information regarding your order.

Contact the Great Basin Cache (208) 387-5104 if you have questions about PMS items, status of your order, or ordering procedures. If calling regarding an order received, please have your Issue Number (located on Issue Form).
