BLM Fully Adopts Multitrack Processing of FOIA Requests
Effective January 8, 2007, the BLM is fully implementing multitrack processing.
FOIA requests received by the BLM will be placed into three processing "tracks,"
(Simple, Normal, and Complex) based on the time required for a request to be processed:
1) Simple: 1-5 workdays
2) Normal: 20 workdays
3) Complex: over 20 workdays
Requesters should assume that unless notified otherwise, their request is in the "Normal" track."
For more information regarding the BLM's multitrack policy, see the Department of the Interior's multitrack
policy at http://www.doi.gov/foia/policy.html.
