BLM Web, Fax Sites Provide Up-to-the-Minute Agency Information

Information about the Bureau of Land Management, the Nation's largest land manager, is available via the World Wide Web and through a new, automated faxing system. An agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the BLM manages 270 million acres of public lands.

"These exciting, high-tech communications tools will help us serve thousands of public land users in a far more efficient manner than was previously possible," says BLM acting director Mike Dombeck. "In seconds, customers can read about key BLM actions and new initiatives on the public land."
