ORDERING PROCEDURE CLAUSE All DOI Project 25 radio contracts awarded under solicitation no. NAR010099 contains an ordering procedures clause allowing for placement of orders under the contracts on a low cost or best value basis. As the contract prices are firm fixed priced, the determination of low cost or best value can be made on the basis of contract prices without obtaining vendor quotes. Requiring activities should provide a short statement to its ordering office with a purchase requisition, justifying its product selection. The contract ordering procedure clause is as follows:
Ordering activities may employ either a lowest price technically acceptable source selection process or a tradeoff process in issuing orders under this contract. If a tradeoff selection process is used, ordering activities may consider any or a combination of the following factors in relation to price to determine the best value to the government:
