Subject:     Data Call for Travel Management Planning Accomplishments and Timeline for Future Travel Management Planning                                                                        DD: 04/30/2010
 
Program Area: Recreation and Visitor Services.
 
Purpose:  This IM requests travel management planning accomplishments and future travel management planning timelines identified as a need by the Government Accounting Office (GAO).
 
Policy/Action: All field offices are asked to report accomplishments for each field office and a timeline for future travel planning in accordance with the subject WO IM No. 2010-082.
 
Please forward your completed spreadsheet to David Jaynes no later than COB April 30, 2010, for consolidation into the Montana/Dakotas BLM report due in WO-250 by May 7, 2010.
 
Timeframe: The deadline to complete and submit this data call is April 30, 2010.
 
Budget Impact: None.
 
Background: The GAO identified the need, in Report GAO-09-509, for the BLM to identify timeframes for the implementation of its off-highway vehicle management strategies.
 
Manual/Handbook Sections Affected: None.        2
 
Coordination: This IM was coordinated between the Directorate of Renewable Resources and Planning (AD-200) and the Division of Recreation and Visitor Services (WO-250).
