From: State Director
Subject: Western Watersheds Project “Interested Public” Letters
Program Area: Rangeland Management
Purpose: Several Field Offices received letters from Western Watersheds Project (WWP) requesting to be an “interested public” on specific allotments. This Instruction Memorandum (IM) provides a consistent response format for the Field Offices.
Policy/Action: The Field Offices should use the attached letter format in a timely manner to respond to the WWP’s requests to be listed as an “interested public” on grazing allotments. The letter will ensure consistent responses among the Field Offices. Only those Field Offices receiving the WWP request letters need reply at this time.
