Policy/Action: The brochure provides an excellent overview of how the Section 390 Categorical exclusions apply to oil and gas operations on public lands. This brochure reiterates the guidance that has been previously provided to you in WO IM No. 2005-247. It is important to reemphasize the fact that compliance with other environmental laws, regulations, environmental best management practices, wildlife mitigation and coordination with affected state game and fish agencies will still take place.
