Subject: Accident Investigation Training DD: 02/28/07
The Montana State Office will sponsor a 2-day Introduction to Accident Investigation course March 14‑15, 2007. On Friday morning, March 16, there will be a meeting of Montana/Dakotas collateral duty safety officers to discuss the BLM accident reporting process. The training will be held at the Montana State Office in side A of the main conference room. Course information is attached.
All collateral duty safety officers should plan to attend. This course meets one of the core competency requirements for them. As such, the Montana State Office will fund the cost of the tuition for the collateral duty safety officers. Travel and per diem should be charged to the employee’s normal charge codes. Managers, supervisors, safety committee members, and employees from other federal agencies who have an interest in the topic may also attend, but they are responsible for their own registration and tuition.
Individuals planning to attend the accident investigation training and workshop are asked to respond by February 28, 2007, to Karilynn Volk, Safety and Occupational Health Specialist, at 406-896-5190.
