The meeting will be held at the Hampton Inn in Billings, Montana. A block of rooms have been held under the name “BLM Fire Meeting.” The Hampton Inn is located at 5110 Southgate Drive, and the phone number is 406-248-4949. Please make your reservations as soon as possible. On May 10, 2006, the Pre-Season Fire/Fuels/Aviation meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Focus for this year’s meeting will be on Collaboration with Fire and Fuels groups and operational issues relative to the upcoming fire season. On May 11, operational issues and human resources will be the main topics and the meeting will end around 1 p.m. Deputy State Directors, Field Managers, and/or actings should plan to attend the first scheduled day and are encouraged to stay for the second day. Zone FMOs and other fire/fuels/aviation representatives should plan to attend both days.
