You can acquire GCDB data from this site by either:
1. If you are not sure the specific data is available, you can use the Availability Map. The map is divided into seven areas of interest. Select the area of interest to see a more detailed display of available data. From this detailed display you should be able to determine if the townships you are interested in are available or not. If the data you are interested in is available, you need to return (back) to the previous page and select the Geographic Coordinate Data Base Archive menu item. This will place you in the data archive directory. This directory is divided into several sections, MT-NE, MT-SE, etc. These are quadrants of the state based on the initial point. For instance, if you want Township 20 North, Range 30 East., MT, you would select MT-NE because the township is in the NE quadrant. Once in the MT-NE directory, you are presented with a directory list of available townships. Using your browser, select the township(s) of interest and download.
2) If you know the data you are interested in is available, simply select the Geographic Coordinate Data Base Archive menu item.
All of the GCDB data in the Geographic Coordinate Data Base Archive has been condensed with a public domain zip routine. This ZIP program is compatible with most ZIP and UNZIP programs and is also available on this site.
