How to Apply

USAJOBS is the official job site of the United States federal government.  It is a centralized one-stop source for federal jobs and employment information. The USAJOBS database provides more than 20,000 worldwide opportunities and is updated daily.  USAJOBS is accessible through two delivery systems in which vacancy announcements and employment information are available:

    Create job search agents for updates on the latest listings. Your job search agents will allow you to be notified by email of current Federal job listings. Your search agents can notify you of jobs within the specific job locations, career fields, and/or salary ranges of your choice. For example, to have every Montana Federal opening emailed to you, just click on “Create New Agent” and select “MT” under Job Locations.

Pay attention to the "who may apply" section of the vacancy announcement under which you are applying. Unless you are eligible for consideration under a special appointing authority or have status as a federal employee, you will need to apply under announcements open to "All Qualified Applicants."
