Hell Gap   10,000-9,500 B.P.

Hell Gap is lanceolate in form, similar to Agate Basin, except for a basal constriction.  These points may be considered essentially stemmed.  Bases are straight to slightly convex.  Cross-sections range from relatively thin to diamond shaped. They exhibit carefully controlled percussion flaking.  Hell Gap projectile points have basal grinding present.  The widest point is at the shoulder above stem. The size is between 2.5 to over 6 inches. Wormington, H. M.
