Cody Knife   9,000-8,400 B.P.

Cody knives are single, but occasionally double-shouldered, stemmed knives with offset tip to one lateral side.  One side tends to be nearly vertical with the opposite side close to parallel at stem, then at shoulder edge runs a straight diagonal to the opposite lateral edge. They have irregular to parallel percussion or pressure-flaking with pressure retouch along the margins, with small and irregular basal thinning flakes.   Frison, G.C.
