Clovis   11,300-10,600 B.P.

Clovis is a fluted lanceolate point with parallel or slightly convex sides and a concave base.  It ranges in length from 1.5 to 5 inches. This point is fairly heavy. The flutes sometime extend almost the full length of the point but usually they extend no more than halfway from the base to the tip. In most instances the basal portion show evidence of smoothing or grinding.  H. M. Wormington
