BLM to Begin Road Repairs on Cottonwood Road

BILLINGS, Mont. – Next week, the BLM Billings Field Office will begin road repairs on Cottonwood Road, south of Bridger, Mont.

Recent storms in the area have damaged culverts along Cottonwood Road. While the BLM repairs the damage, many sections of the road will be impassable for the public. Construction is expected to be completed by April 26, 2014, should weather conditions allow.

Many vehicle routes on public lands in the Billings Field Office area have impassable sections, or are in poor driving condition. Driving in all areas should be done with caution and attention. If in doubt, stay out, or call the Billings Field Office at (406) 896-5013 for the current status before you go. Riding on muddy trails can cause considerable damage which requires expensive repairs.
