BLM Invites Comments On Proposed Drilling

The public is invited to comment on a proposal to do exploration drilling on four different sites at a location approximately three miles southwest of Nevada City, Mont.   The Plan of Operation has been filed by St. Lawrence Exploration LLC with the Bureau of Land Management.

The land where the proposed activity would take place is split estate, meaning the surface acreage is privately owned and the subsurface minerals are owned and managed by the federal government. An environmental assessment will be prepared for the project.

The proposed plan of operation is available for public review at the Bureau of Land Management, Dillon Field Office, 1005 Selway Drive, Dillon, MT 59725, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday. Written comments must refer to the serial number MTM 98963 and be received no later than May 4.

For more information, contact Robert Gunderson at the BLM Dillon Field Office at (406) 683-8000.
