BLM Asks for Public Input Regarding a Proposal for a Road Right-of-Way
BILLINGS – The Bureau of Land Management is asking for public input on the scope of an environmental document assessing a proposal for a road right-of-way across public land near Belfry.
RLF Big Horn Properties LLC wants the right-of-way to access six subdivided lots that are currently landlocked. The lots are about 20 acres each and are located about six miles southwest of Belfry. Under the proposal, about 1.4 miles of an existing road would be improved and another 750 feet of new road would be constructed across BLM land to reach RLF land.
More information about the project will be available by calling (406) 896-5013 or on the internet at: www.blm.gov/mt/st/en/fo/billings_field_office.html
BLM is asking the public to help identify issues, concerns, and alternatives related to the proposal. Written comments will be accepted until June 13 and should refer to the RLF Grove Creek Road Right-of-Way Project. Comments should be sent to Tom Carroll, BLM Billings Field Office, 5001 Southgate Dr., Billings, Mont. 59101.
