Beaverhead West Watershed Environmental Assessment
Available For Review
The Bureau of Land Management’s Dillon Field Office has completed the Beaverhead West Watershed Environmental Assessment (EA) for 92,109 acres in southwest Montana. It is available for public review with a 30-day comment period ending on July 31.
The EA recommends management direction related to livestock management, vegetation treatments, travel management modifications, and range projects on 26 grazing allotments and three unallotted parcels within the Beaverhead West Watershed.
The document provides descriptions and analyses of up to four management alternatives. After reviewing public comments, Field Manager Tim Bozorth will select one of the alternatives, or a combination of alternatives, for implementation.
Written comments should be sent to BLM’s Dillon Field Office at 1005 Selway Drive in Dillon, MT 59725 or via email to MT_Dillon_FO@blm.gov. Please put Beaverhead West in the subject line.
If you have questions about the proposed management alternatives, contact Brian Thrift or Pat Fosse at the email address above or by calling the Dillon Field Office at 683-8000.
