Havre BLM Completes Grazing Assessment
The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Havre Field Station has completed an environmental assessment analyzing the impacts of renewing grazing permits for some public lands in northeast Blaine County.
The analysis area includes approximately 86,700 acres of public land managed by the Havre BLM office. These lands provide approximately 17,570 animal unit months of forage authorized for livestock grazing (an animal unit month is the amount of grass a cow/calf pair would consume in one month).
If you would like a copy of this environmental assessment or have questions about the document, please contact Lou Hagener at 406-265-5891.
