BLM Hosts Public Meeting for Proposed Right-of-way Near Clancy
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Butte Field Office is hosting a public meeting to hear comments on a right-of-way proposal for a project located about 2.5 miles northwest of Clancy. The meeting will be held in the old gym of the Clancy School on June 14 at 7 p.m.
The applicant is proposing reconstruction of existing roads and construction of new roads to meet road standards set by Jefferson County. The right-of-way would provide legal access to private property which is in the process of being developed for residential home sites.
"When BLM initially went to the public for input in March, we received enough interest to warrant having a public meeting in the area," stated Rick Hotaling, Butte Field Manager. "It is BLM’s intent to hear concerns and possible solutions from the public before making a decision."
For additional information on the project proposal, contact Kelly Acree, realty specialist at the BLM Butte Field office, (406) 533-7621.
