Contact: Dick Kodeski (406) 896-5235 Date: May 30, 2007 Friday Night at the Pillar Begins June 1 Located 25 miles east of Billings off Interstate 94, Pompeys Pillar National Monument has a day use area, gift shop, and newly completed interpretive center. The site is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from May 26 through Sept. 3, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 4 through Oct. 28. Admission is $7 per vehicle through Oct. 28 when full services are provided. Interagency passes will also be honored. Although the interpretive center will close for the season Oct. 28, visitors may still walk in to the site during daylight hours. Daily fees and/or interagency season and senior passes may be purchased on-site or at the Information Access Center at the Bureau of Land Management Montana State Office, 5001 Southgate Drive, in Billings. Fees are returned to the site to provide extra services for the public. |
