BLM to Host Judith Mountains Weed Evening
The Bureau of Land Management (along with state and local agencies) will host the Judith Mountains Weed Evening at Camp Maiden (the turn off to Camp Maiden is about 2 miles past the original Maiden town site on the county road) beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2007.

The Judith Mountains Weed Evening is an offshoot of the collaborative forest health effort involving citizens, the BLM, the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, the Fergus County Extension Service, the Fergus County Weed District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

To participate in this educational and practical event, meet at the basketball meadow at Camp Maiden at 5:00 p.m. Come prepared with empty sprayers, gloves, appropriate clothing, and snacks.

As weather and time allow, the group will spray or pull several small weed infestations in the vicinity of Camp Maiden.
