Supplemental Air Quality Analysis Available for Review and Comment
A Supplemental Air Quality Analysis prepared to assess effects from coal bed natural gas development is available for public comment until March 13.
The new analysis supplements the air quality information contained in the Bureau of Land Management’s 2006 Draft Supplement to the Montana Statewide Oil and Gas Environmental Impact Statement, commonly referred to as the Draft SEIS. An errata sheet to the document is also available.
The complete analysis may be viewed online at: www.blm.gov/eis/mt/milescity_seis/. Copies of the analysis are also available for public inspection at BLM’s Miles City Field Office, 111 Garryowen Road in Miles City and BLM’s Montana State Office, 5001 Southgate Drive in Billings. Comments may be submitted electronically via the website above or through traditional mail by writing: Draft SEIS Air Comments, BLM, P.O. Box 219, Miles City, Mont. 59301.
Comments will be considered as BLM prepares its Final SEIS concerning coal bed natural gas that is scheduled for release in the summer of 2008. A Record of Decision implementing the SEIS is anticipated to be released in December 2008.
