The Missouri River Breaks Interpretive Center offers great volunteer opportunities! If you enjoy meeting people, providing educational programs for children, talking about natural resources, or working outdoors on projects, our site could be the right volunteer opportunity for you! Volunteers at the Missouri River Breaks Interpretive Center greet visitors, provide area information (including boating and floating information on the Upper Missouri River), provide tours and programs for school children, and keep the grounds clean and weed-free.
Front Desk/Maintenance: Needed May through September, the primary visitation season at the Interpretive Center, working 36 to 40 hours a week.
Education Docent: Mid-April through early June, the primary school group visitation time; variable hours, typically three days a week, two to six hours a day.
Uniforms and training are provided. Front desk/maintenance volunteer training begins mid-May. Education docent volunteer training begins mid-March.
Volunteer applications should be received by January 15; however, volunteer positions are open until filled. Resumes can be sent by mail or email to Interpretive Center Director Connie Jacobs: firstname.lastname@example.org
