Last summer, the BLM held Alternative Development Workshops in 11 communities throughout northcentral Montana and in Billings. A total of 349 people attended the workshops to participate in group discussions and submit individual comment cards about management of the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument. All the workshops were identical in format and informational materials presented. The public was asked to visit each of four stations and to write their management ideas on cards provided for that purpose. Everyone then gathered as a group, and the cards were read (as many as time permitted) to generate discussion on the management ideas. The links below provide the information presented at the workshops. The tables featured at each station are suggested management ideas based on comments received during the scoping process. |
